Falcom Classic

The C.D. contains 3 classic Falcom RPGs on one disk. Unfortunately, the word classic really means old (very early looking) 16 bit games that really have no place in today's market.

The games are Y Book1, Xanadu, and Dragon Slayer. I was totally fooled by this release. For some reason, I thought Xanadu and Dragon Slayer would be the latest versions which showed up on the PC Engine (Turbo Duo). Both of those games were pretty good little RPGs. What a shock to find these two games were from the dark ages of gaming history. You have to see them to wonder who in their right mind would waste CD technology on these two "lame-oooos".

The Y's game is pretty good. The technology helps the speed and look of this game. It is playable with mediocre graphics. Any fans of this game will enjoy this version. Me, I took the game and tossed it over in the corner reserved for the "never to be played again". Every 6 months, I go through the pile and usually pitch them in the trash. Only a few get a second look! It's a little like losing a guppy!
